Supported by the Fairtrade Foundation, the competition – now in its second year – is for cooks who care about good, simple food and where it comes from.
All you have to do for a chance of winning is upload a video of yourself demonstrating how to cook your favourite, simple recipe using a Freedom Food-labelled ingredient (and a Fairtrade-labelled ingredient if you can).
We’re looking for unsung cooking heroes with flair and charisma. We don’t want fancy chefs using lots of expensive ingredients, just good home cooks who care where food comes from and can create delicious yet simple dishes we can all try ourselves.
Remember – it’s very important that you tell us in your video why farm animal welfare matters to you. The judges will be looking for cooks who care about the animals and people that help produce our food by using ingredients with the Freedom Food and the Fairtrade Foundation labels.
The lucky Judges’ Winner – chosen by a panel of celebrity judges – will win a year’s worth of grocery shopping for a family of four, worth £4,000.
There’s also a prize for the Junior Winner (the judges' favourite 12 to 16s entry) and the People’s Winner (the entrant who receives the most online votes). They’ll each receive £500-worth of grocery shopping.
The competition is open for entries from 9am on Thursday 6 November 2014 until 2pm on Monday 12 January 2015.
You can vote for your favourite entries between 9am on Monday 1 December 2014 and 2pm on Monday 9 February 2015.
