The RSPCA’s welfare standards are written by the RSPCA’s team of scientific officers in the Farm Animals Department, and are based on leading scientific, veterinary and practical industry expertise.

Technical Working Groups are also held at least once a year to get the input of Freedom Food members. The RSPCA values the contribution of Freedom Food’s members, so please contact us if you have any feedback or suggestions, so that we can pass on your comments.

The RSPCA welfare standards are updated from time to time. When this happens the RSPCA’s Farm Animals Department will give members at least three months’ notice. If a major change is made, a longer period will likely be provided.
